Veterans PTSD & Cannabis Study

Empowering Veterans Through Cannabis Research

About the Study
The Veterans PTSD and Cannabis Study is a groundbreaking initiative designed to explore how medical cannabis can effectively treat symptoms of Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) in veterans. This study aims to gather valuable data on cannabis efficacy, dosage, administration methods, and potential side effects.

Who’s Behind the Study?

  • Veterans Initiative 22 (VI22): Dedicated to addressing veteran suicide and mental health, reflecting the devastating statistic that 22 veterans die by suicide daily.
  • Connor Sheffield Foundation: Advocating for cannabis research and patient care.
  • Tetragram: A leading cannabis journaling app that allows participants to track their cannabis usage and its effects on PTSD symptoms.

Study Goals

  • Collect Real-World Data: Veterans will log cannabis usage through the Tetragram app, tracking:
    • Strain or type of cannabis
    • Dosage and method of consumption (inhalation, edibles, tinctures)
    • Symptom relief and any side effects
  • Build Scientific Evidence: The data will help researchers understand how cannabis can improve PTSD symptoms.
  • Influence Policy Change: Results will be presented at the DEA Cannabis Rescheduling Hearing to advocate for veteran access to medical cannabis.

Why This Study Matters

  • PTSD Crisis: Traditional treatments often fail to meet the needs of veterans struggling with PTSD.
  • A Natural Alternative: Medical cannabis offers a safer, non-addictive solution for symptom relief.
  • Driving Change: Research data will strengthen advocacy for safe, affordable access to medical cannabis for all veterans.

How Veterans Can Participate

  1. Complete the Baseline PTSD Survey.
  2. Download and use the Tetragram app to log cannabis use and experiences.
  3. Contribute to life-changing research for the veteran community.

Join the Movement

Veterans deserve effective, compassionate treatment options. Together, we can break barriers, drive cannabis research, and support those who served.
