Partners in Compassion is Georgia Medical Cannabis Society's community partnership initiative created to strengthen patient education, medical cannabis awareness, access to reliable information, community engagement, and mission-aligned support across Georgia.
Through financial support, community collaboration, in-kind contributions, educational partnerships, professional expertise, volunteer service, and shared resources, Partners in Compassion help GMCS serve patients, caregivers, veterans, seniors, disabled individuals, and underserved communities.

Why Partners in Compassion Exists
Patients and caregivers deserve reliable information, compassionate guidance, and welcoming environments where they can learn, ask questions, and connect with resources. GMCS seeks to build a statewide network of partners who help advance education, reduce stigma, strengthen community support, support underserved communities, expand access to trustworthy information, support patient-centered programming, and support lawful, nonpartisan civic and policy education.

Ways to Partner with GMCS
Annual Partnership Support
Helps sustain ongoing patient education, outreach, research education, advocacy awareness, community programs, and organizational infrastructure.
Event Sponsorship
Supports specific educational programs, workshops, Cannabis Unity Day, 2HW Summit, community conversations, patient programs, and other approved GMCS events.
In-Kind Contributions
Examples may include printing, technology, professional services, photography, videography, media production, equipment, supplies, food and refreshments, accessibility services, captioning, meeting resources, event resources, and other mission-aligned goods or services.
Community Space Support
Organizations may provide welcoming, accessible venues for education, community meetings, workshops, patient programs, research conversations, and community engagement.
Educational Collaboration
Appropriate organizations and professionals may contribute expertise, education, research awareness, professional insight, patient education, healthcare education, and public-health-centered conversations.
Volunteer & Resource Support
Individuals and organizations may contribute time, skills, communications, content, outreach, professional expertise, community connections, administrative support, technology, event assistance, and other resources.

Not every contribution has to be financial. GMCS welcomes meaningful contributions of time, talent, professional expertise, services, outreach, community connections, and other non-cash support.
Within GMCS, "sweat equity" refers to service and skills-based participation. It does not create ownership, financial equity, profit participation, compensation, voting rights, or governance authority.

Georgia Medical Cannabis Society recognizes Bookstore Gallery as a Cornerstone Partner in Compassion for its continued support of community-centered education, connection, outreach, and healing-centered programming. Bookstore Gallery has provided a welcoming community space where patients, caregivers, advocates, educators, artists, organizers, families, and community partners can gather for educational programs, resource sharing, workshops, community meetings, and meaningful conversations.
