About This Program
Compassion in Practice is GMCS's education program designed specifically for healthcare professionals. As Georgia's medical cannabis program evolves — most recently with SB 220 signed May 12, 2026 — providers need accurate, current information to counsel patients effectively, understand their certification responsibilities, and stay compliant with Georgia Composite Medical Board requirements. Sessions are delivered in clinical settings, professional association events, and online formats.

Who Should Attend
Compassion in Practice is designed for Georgia-licensed physicians (MDs and DOs), nurse practitioners, physician assistants, pharmacists, nurses, social workers, and other licensed healthcare professionals who work with patients who may benefit from medical cannabis. No prior knowledge of cannabis medicine is required.
