About This Program
About the Pressure Squad
The Pressure Squad is GMCS's organized network of trained advocates who mobilize around key legislative moments, public hearings, and community education opportunities. Members have completed the Pressure Play Workshop — or are actively enrolled — and are ready to take their advocacy from the classroom to the Capitol. The Squad is nonpartisan, patient-centered, and open to any Georgian committed to expanding access to medical cannabis care.

What Pressure Squad Members Do
Attend Legislative Hearings
Show up at Georgia General Assembly committee hearings on cannabis-related bills. Your presence — and your testimony — signals to lawmakers that patients are watching and engaged.
Contact Legislators Directly
Use GMCS-provided scripts, talking points, and contact tools to reach your state representative and senator by phone, email, and in-person visits during session.
Respond to Action Alerts
When a critical vote or hearing is scheduled, Squad members receive priority alerts with clear, specific actions — call this number, attend this hearing, submit this comment by this date.
Deliver Public Comments
Trained to prepare and deliver effective public comments at committee hearings and public meetings. GMCS provides templates, coaching, and sign-up support.
Educate Their Communities
Bring patient education back to their neighborhoods, faith communities, and social networks — expanding GMCS's reach and building a broader base of informed advocates.
Participate in Capitol Day Events
Join organized GMCS delegations to the Georgia State Capitol for lobby days, advocacy summits, and direct meetings with legislative staff and elected officials.

Who Can Join
The Pressure Squad is open to any Georgian who has completed — or is actively enrolled in — the Pressure Play Workshop. Membership is free. There are no dues, no political requirements, and no minimum time commitment. You engage at the level that works for your life.

Kristina Flores
Action Team Coordinator, Pressure Squad: Advocacy in Action
Kristina Flores is a devoted mother, visionary activist, and founder of 420 Doulas. With over ten years of activism — including roles with Greenpeace and the Center for Popular Democracy — she coordinates the GMCS Action Team supporting Pressure Squad activities. Kristina played a pivotal role in the Georgia legislative session combating HB1322, with advocacy focused on maternal health, cannabis policy reform, and community education.
